It is the first production jet equipped with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System, a whole-aircraft parachute designed to provide an additional option in an extreme emergency. It also features Garmin Autoland through Cirrus Safe Return, which can take control of the aircraft, navigate to a suitable airport, communicate with air traffic control, and land the airplane automatically if the pilot is unable to do so.
