Fly The Safest General Aviation Aircraft In The World
We invest heavily to ensure our customers fly the very best and safest airplanes possible. Our training fleet consists of Cirrus SR Series aircraft (w/ Garmin Perspective+ avionics) which is the same aircraft airlines are choosing for their training fleets. Cirrus is one of the safest airplanes in GA and set pilots up to advance towards flying more complex airplanes and get ratings faster than learning to fly in legacy aircraft. All of our airplanes are maintained by on-site Cirrus factory trained technicians in Long Island and New York City's Cirrus Service Center.
The Cirrus Aircraft Difference

When embarking on the transformative journey of becoming a pilot, the aircraft you choose for training is paramount. Traditional, older training aircraft may have served their purpose in the past, but in today's rapidly evolving aviation landscape, there's a clear frontrunner: The Cirrus SR-20.
Contrary to the aging designs of legacy flight training planes, the Cirrus SR-20 is a beacon of modern aviation. It seamlessly marries the advanced avionics seen in contemporary jets with the gentle handling of traditional training planes. This harmonious blend ensures that trainees are equipped with the latest in aviation technology while still benefiting from the tried-and-true handling characteristics crucial for foundational learning. This progressive approach has not gone unnoticed. From esteemed universities to major airlines and even the United States Airforce, the shift away from legacy aircraft to the Cirrus for both primary and advanced training is evident.
Earn Your Private Pilot License
In 3 Phases
PHASE 1
(Pre-Solo)
During this phase of your training, you will become familiar with the aircraft and maneuvers, and you will learn about the regulations associated with general aviation.
PHASE 2
(Solo Flying)
When your instructor determines you are ready to fly solo, you will fly a number of flights to and from the airport by yourself. This will build your confidence and allow you to continue practicing the maneuvers you learned prior to this phase.
PHASE 3
(Checkride Preparation)
Train at Your Own Pace
Your training will be performed at your own pace, depending on your availability and your motivation to earn your license. Your Cirrus Certified Training Instructor will teach you the required knowledge, and your progress will be recorded in Nassau Flyers’ very own training syllabus.
